Geotextiles: Filant geotextiles or staple fiber needle punched geotextiles can be selected. Filament geotextiles are recommended for Geocomposite strip drain.
Filament geotextile VS Short fiber needle punched geotextile
1. The friction coefficient of the filament geotextile is significantly larger than that of the polyester staple fiber geotextile.
2. The puncture resistance of filament geotextile is better than that of polyester staple fiber geotextile
3. Filament geotextiles and polyester staple fiber geotextiles are different in fiber morphology and production process. The porosity of polyester filament geotextiles is larger and the porosity of polyester staple fiber geotextiles is smaller. Therefore, the possibility of fouling of polyester filament geotextiles is less likely.
