Cement Blanket
Cement blanket is a new type of environmentally friendly ecological composite waterproof and anti-seepage material. It consists of a water-absorbing protective layer, a concrete filling layer (including a reinforcement layer) and a moisturizing layer. It is combined in a fiber skeleton or stitching manner to form a flexible and efficient concrete slope protection waterproof curing blanket.
Product Features:
Cement blankets can be manufactured in standard rolls or customized in bulk to varying widths. They offer advantages such as corrosion resistance, anti-seepage, frost resistance, crack resistance, slope reinforcement, low cost, energy conservation, and environmental protection. They are widely used in slope protection, livestock breeding, canals, ponds, artificial lakes, and other fields. They are low-cost and easy to use.
Product Advantages:
Compared to existing technologies, this concrete slope protection blanket rapidly cures with the reinforcement layer, flexible skeleton layer, and concrete filling layer after the water-absorbing protective layer absorbs water. This offers the advantages of a short curing cycle and high strength, making it quick and convenient to construct and a viable alternative to traditional concrete construction techniques. This product simply requires watering to form a durable concrete layer of the desired shape and hardness. Different cement formulations can be used to create durable concrete-like structures with features such as impermeability, crack resistance, thermal insulation, erosion resistance, fire resistance, and corrosion resistance. This product simply needs to be laid according to the terrain and technical requirements, and then evenly sprinkled with water or immersed in water for reaction. After curing, the fibers reinforce the blanket.
Product specifications:
Thicknesses range from 0.5 cm to 2 cm, widths range from 1 to 4 meters, and lengths are customizable. Special specifications are negotiable. Easy to use, the product comes in rolls, and widths and lengths can be customized to suit construction and handling requirements. No large machinery is required, making manual handling and transportation easy. A scientific cement formula adapts to various applications, eliminating the need for on-site mixing. It can be poured immediately after laying and quickly solidifies, offering a low overall cost advantage. Environmentally friendly: The product is low in carbon, alkali, and erosion, resulting in minimal ecological impact.
– Thicknesses of 4-6 mm: Suitable for lightweight protective projects with low load requirements, such as lining small flower beds and temporary ditches; applications with low tensile strength requirements, such as simple slope protection and small pool waterproofing; and projects with low impact energy, such as raindrop impact and minor collisions. Suitable for interior decoration and small landscape paving.
– Thickness 6-9mm: Suitable for general road and river slope protection, highway subgrade reinforcement, and general construction foundation pit slope protection. It can withstand a certain degree of impact, such as the accidental drop of small tools and normal human impact. It is commonly used for roof waterproofing of ordinary buildings and paving of small parking lots.
– Thickness 10-15mm: Suitable for locations with high pressure, such as temporary roads for heavy vehicles, slope protection of small dams, and water conservancy projects. It can also be used for projects requiring high tensile strength, such as covering large landfills and preventing landslides. It can withstand moderate impact, such as small vehicles running over it and small stones. It can be used for general road pavement repair and industrial plant floor protection.
– High-end customized models of 15-20mm and above: Suitable for projects with extremely high load-bearing capacity requirements, such as large bridge abutment slope protection and port breakwaters. It is also suitable for projects requiring extremely high tensile strength, such as high-speed railway embankment protection and cross-sea bridge pier protection. It can withstand large impact energy, such as collisions of large vehicles, impacts of boulders carried by floods, etc. It is suitable for road and railway slope protection projects and water conservancy hub protection.
Flexible application:
This product offers excellent drape and flexibility, allowing for installation to suit various scenarios. High strength: The fiber reinforcement within the product prevents cracking and absorbs impact energy, enhancing impact resistance. Durability: It offers strong resistance to chemical and natural erosion (such as UV rays).
1. Concrete slope protection blankets have a certain degree of toughness, require low-quality foundation conditions, and are not prone to cracking.
2. They offer a long service life of over 10 years, low maintenance costs, and simple installation.
3. The overall cost is lower than traditional cement precast construction.
Paving construction
1. Preparation: First, plan and measure to ensure a certain slope to allow water to flow smoothly from top to bottom. Second, after the construction site is cleared and leveled, set the construction line according to the design drawings and re-measure the drainage slope.
2. Excavation: Set the construction line according to the design requirements. The sides of the ditch must be leveled, and the ditch slope must be free of loose soil and voids. Water-damaged areas must be compacted and debris and gravel removed from the slope. If necessary, use Sanqi lime soil for compaction or grouting for reinforcement and sealing. The treated area must be stable.
3. Laying: The material can be laid vertically or horizontally. Ensure the base surface is level, otherwise it will affect the appearance quality.
4. Joint Treatment:
① Dig a joint pit at least 10 cm wide and equal in depth to the thickness of the cement blanket at the joint between two adjacent cement blankets. Place the cement blanket joint into the pit and flatten it.
② Press the upper cement blanket tightly against the lower one, following the direction of water flow. The overlap should be at least 10cm.
③ Apply sealant evenly to the joints (or sprinkle cement powder evenly).
④ When laying the floor, secure the edges with U-shaped nails or ground nails, spacing them approximately 30-50cm apart to prevent shifting. Additional nails can be added at the top and bottom of the slope for added stability.
⑤ Prepare the trench edge and secure the material edge to the trench edge with rivets, also using rivets at the overlap. After securing, cover the edges with soil.
6. After the preliminary work is completed, water the material evenly and thoroughly. Ensure the cement base layer is thoroughly watered during the first application, but avoid high-pressure washing to prevent the cement powder from being washed away. After 12 hours, water the material evenly again for curing. Allow to fully cure after approximately 24 hours. Post-Curation and Precautions:
1. This material has a design life of over 10 years. To extend its service life, maintenance is recommended every 2-3 years. Applying a layer of cement slurry to the surface of the material cushion can effectively extend the material’s service life.
2. The material must reach a strength of 10.0 MPa before it can withstand the load of personnel and light construction machinery.
3. After watering the material and until it reaches its final strength,
do not strike, pull, or use sharp objects on the material.
cement blankets storage
The key to preserving cement blankets is to protect them from moisture, damage, and high temperatures. Premature curing or damage must be strictly avoided.
Specific storage methods are as follows:
- Moisture- and Water-Proof: Store in a dry, ventilated room or under a rain shelter. The floor should be covered with moisture-proof materials such as wood boards or plastic wrap. Direct contact with damp surfaces or exposure to rain or dew is strictly prohibited.
- Packaging Integrity: Keep the original packaging (such as plastic wrap or woven bags) intact. If damaged, immediately seal it with new waterproof film to prevent moisture from seeping in and triggering curing.
- Avoid Exposure to Sunlight and High Temperatures: Store at a temperature between 5°C and 30°C. Keep away from heat sources (such as heaters or open flames) and direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent aging and cracking of the packaging or deterioration of the internal materials.
- Standard Stacking: Stack flat, no higher than the product specifications (usually no more than 5 layers). Avoid vertical or tilted storage or excessive squeezing to prevent deformation of the blanket, fiber damage, and weakening of the blanket’s strength.
- Control storage time: Strictly follow the product shelf life (generally within 1 year), and give priority to products with a shorter storage time to avoid performance degradation due to long-term storage.
